2 Years: We accept government funding for eligible 2-year-olds. Families who qualify for the funded early years education for 2-year-olds can access up to 15 hours per week, depending on eligibility criteria. 3-4 Years: We accept both the standard 15 hours of free early education per week and the extended 30 hours for eligible 3-4-year-olds.

What it is like to attend
Children arrive happy. They leave their parents with ease and move into the open arms of their key person. Children are keen to share what they have been doing over the weekend. They talk with excitement about the trips and visits that they have been on. Children feel at home. They enter the setting with confidence, knowing the routines and what needs to be done. For example, they hang their coats up and wash their hands before going off to play.
Children behave well. The settings 'golden rules' act as reminders for the children.
During circle time, they discuss the rules and how to be good friends. Children show maturity and are capable of verbalising their feelings. For instance, when children are playing they will ask their friends how they feel. Upon noticing that a friend may be feeling sad, children seek adults for support.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- review the routines of the day around adult-led activities to provide children with more independence in their play n review the provision for creative play to allow children to explore and develop their imagination.

What to ask them

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
