Free 15 hours Universal Early Education Sessions for 3 and 4 year olds and Free for 2 (must meet with certain criteria); 30 hours Working Parent entitlement for eligible 2, 3 and 4 year olds.
Worth knowing. If your child attends more than 15 hours (5 funded sessions a week) you will be invoiced for these sessions at the above outlined rate unless funding is received for 30 hours' free childcare. Parents/Carers for funded children must sign a declaration for the hours they will be attending. If your child is absent on a regular basis without good reason, these hours will be offered to other children.

What it is like to attend
Children happily enter a calm and welcoming space. They are warmly greeted by friendly staff who develop strong relationships with the children. They celebrate children's achievements and offer them meaningful praise. This builds children's confidence and self-esteem.
Children show a positive attitude towards learning. They are engaged and motivated in their chosen activities. The indoor and outside environments are set to provide a range of activities where staff carefully consider what it is that they want children to learn. Children explore as they independently select what they would like to play with. Older children are able to effectively negotiate their play ideas as they take on different characters within their role-play experiences. Children are thrilled when it is their turn to lead a 'show and tell', and demonstrate confidence as they present to their friends.
Children are learning to become independent and begin to take care of themselves.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- strengthen support for staff to consistently develop children's listening and turntaking skills n enhance partnership working with other settings which children attend to share information about their next steps in learning, and provide a more consistent approach to their learning.

- Is £6.50 a session still the rate? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
