Worth knowing. We accept the 30 hour code but we are limited with the number of children who can claim all of their 30 hours with us. We can share settings to help families use their 30 hours. They may be limited to being able to claim a maximum of 15 hours with us depending on staff ratios and availability.

What it is like to attend
Staff provide a warm welcome for all children and their families at the pre-school.
They know the families exceptionally well, and children feel very secure in an environment that they find stimulating. Children have great fun exploring and taking part in activities designed to enhance all areas of their development, whether they are indoors or outdoors. Children have learned to ride balance bicycles and tricycles and expertly steer their way around without bumping into others. They show great enthusiasm for imaginary play and talk readily about their creations as they build hotels for dinosaurs.
Staff work hard to encourage children to be independent according to their developmental stages. Children readily accept the challenges and concentrate well as they master the art of hanging their coats up or placing their lunch boxes in the correct tubs when they arrive. Children understand what is expected of them, and their behaviour is good. They have warm, trusting relationships with staff and consequently show confidence in their surroundings, even though some may have just started pre-school for the first time. Staff genuinely enjoy their time with children. They spend their day playing alongside children and know just what support they need.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- strengthen teaching even further so that staff deliver adult-led activities, group activities and routine activities to a consistently high level and children fully benefit from such experiences.

- Is £18.50 a session still the rate? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
