What it is like to attend
Children thoroughly enjoy spending time at this friendly and nurturing nursery.
They settle into the nursery routines quickly. Children form close bonds with staff and with their peers, and they behave very well. Staff have high expectations of all children. They provide children with clear instructions. This helps children to understand what is expected of them. Children also learn how to share and take turns, with staff's guidance. Children are safe and secure.
Staff provide children with a range of stimulating activities. For example, babies push vegetables into paint and print with them on paper. Toddlers are engrossed as they unwrap parcels to discover which animals they will find from the story. Older children learn about who invented traffic lights during Black History Month. Children gain a thirst for learning from a young age.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- focus supervision more sharply on improving staff's individual knowledge and skills further, to ensure all children's voices are heard.
