Funded hours
Eligible working parents of children from 9 months to under 5 years of age will be entitled to 30 hours of childcare each week. We either offer this as a 30 hour a week package [you are able to do more] for 38 weeks of the year and parents are expected to pay for the remaining 13 weeks. We also do a 25 hour per week stretched offer which can either be all year round or term time only and is across.

What it is like to attend
Children are safe and secure in the nursery. They come in happily and confidently engage in the enjoyable activities on offer. Children have positive attitudes and concentrate on the activities that interest them. For example, the youngest children focus on making patterns with their hands and other tools in the flour. Children learn to share and willingly take turns to cuddle the different baby dolls and to do
'little squeezes' of toothpaste for their friends.
Children learn how to keep themselves safe. They use clipboards to check that chairs are tucked in and that things that may cause slips and trips are tidied away.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- use open-ended questioning techniques consistently to challenge children's critical thinking skills - focus on the development of mathematical language and the use of the environment to support mathematical understanding.

- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
