What it is like to attend
Children are happy, content and confident at this nurturing and inclusive nursery.
They receive a warm welcome from friendly staff, when they arrive. Staff work closely with families to gain a good understanding of children's individual needs and personalities. They offer plenty of settle sessions when children first start, helping them to build trusting relationships with key staff and become familiar with the environment. Staff are respectful in their interactions with children. For example, they ask for children's consent before wiping their nose and taking off their shoes. This helps children to feel valued, safe and secure.
Staff plan an ambitious and broad curriculum that supports children's interests.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- support staff to recognise when to give children more time to process information, to develop their communication and language skills even further n build on staff's knowledge of behaviour management strategies, to help children fully understand the expectations of their behaviour.

What to ask them

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
