Funded hours
15 and 30 hours, plus 2-year-old funding.
Worth knowing. Funding only covers the 38 weeks of term time. As we are open all year round weeks, we can stretch the funding to cover those weeks. This means less hours available per week but full year care. Funded hours are only available during certain set patterns, which may not cover full days or sessions. The FE funding only covers the cost of the provision of childcare and the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The funding does not include any of the other services that our nursery pro.

What it is like to attend
Staff build strong and caring relationships with children. They value each child highly and help babies to settle well. Staff get to know babies' preferences and interests, and they link these to activities which babies enjoy. They interact with children warmly, for example, by using a gentle tone of voice and lots of eye contact. Staff have high expectations of each child and manage their behaviour in positive ways. Children behave well. Staff help children to understand different feelings effectively. They talk to children and encourage them to choose stickers that represent their emotions each day. Staff read stories about different feelings and children develop a good awareness in this area.
The curriculum is well balanced and stimulating. All children make good progress.
Staff support children's physical development effectively. They enable children to move freely between indoor and outdoor areas. Children balance on tyres and steer wheeled toys carefully. Babies enjoy learning to crawl and climb up low platforms.

- Is £85.00 a day still the rate? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Is there a place for my child's age? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
