Funded hours
The Time for Twos project provides funding for up to 15 hours of free funded childcare education for eligible two year olds. All 3 to 4-year-olds in England can get 570 hours of free funded early education or childcare per year. This is usually taken as 15 hours each week for 38 weeks of the year. Buttons are also pleased to offer the 30 hour extended funding to eligible families, this can be spli.
Worth knowing. Funding can be used flexibly, between the preschool hours additional fees are required for the wrapround outside of free funded eligablity.

What it is like to attend
Children are happy, safe and flourish in this wonderful pre-school. Children are inquisitive and are immersed in a setting full of rich daily experiences. The provision is well thought out and laid out purposefully, igniting children's curiosity.
Children settle quickly, building strong attachments to key persons. Staff empower children through play to be excited and self-regulated learners. Because of this, children confidently explore all learning environments. Children are nurtured and explore highly engaging resources and, as a result, have developed independence in their play. Children participate in various creative and stimulating activities that promote active learning extending their development. For example, children follow recipe cards when making play dough, confidently adding their chosen ingredients, such as paint to colour the play dough and lemon juice for an interesting scent, and are encouraged skilfully by staff of what to do next.
The staff demonstrate high levels of ambition. Children benefit from a highly challenging curriculum that maintains their engagement and supports sustained concentration. Staff's understanding of children has promoted positive attachments, aiding in the effective development of their preferences. For instance, children freely share with staff experiences from outside the pre-school. Highly skilled staff confidently extend children's learning, enabling them to reach their full potential. Children, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, are supported exceptionally well.

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
