What it is like to attend
Children receive a warm, nurturing and friendly welcome when they arrive. They respond positively to staff and learn in a fun and safe place. Children have a positive attitude to learning and are eager to join in the activities planned for them.
For example, older children watch with curiosity as they pour water onto food colouring and see the changes occur. They notice the changing colours and experiment further by adding different quantities of water. Toddlers develop largemuscle control and coordination as they use push-along toys and musical instruments.
Children have formed secure emotional attachments with all staff. Children are happy and busy throughout the day. They grow in confidence as they access the well-resourced environment, indoors and outdoors. Children move freely around the rooms to explore and develop their own ideas. They develop close friendships with others.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- support staff to make a clear link between the intent and delivery of planned activities, so that children are fully challenged and engaged n improve the organisation of routine events, so that children remain engaged at all times.

- Is £85.00 a day still the rate? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
