What it is like to attend
The nursery radiates happiness, enthusiasm and joy. Staff warmly welcome children and take time to connect with parents to find out about each child's start to the day. This thoughtful approach helps children settle quickly and engage happily in activities that await them. Kind and caring staff know children well. They work closely with parents to provide high-quality care, particularly around eating and sleeping arrangements. Older children confidently follow familiar routines, such as washing hands thoroughly before mealtimes. All children demonstrate a strong sense of security and belonging. Consistent expectations and well-established routines support children's positive behaviour effectively from an early age.
Leaders create an ambitious curriculum for all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities and children who speak English as an additional language. Staff are fully committed to successfully fostering a learning environment that promotes high levels of confidence, independence and curiosity, such as creating a sensory room for those who learn better with less distractions.
Activities are carefully planned to reflect children's interests, needs and abilities.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- engage children in two-way conversations that encourage them to think more deeply and explore their own ideas and interests, to further develop their communication skills n support staff to more precisely build on individual children's existing knowledge and skills to ensure they consistently extend and challenge all children's learning.
