What it is like to attend
Children are happy and have fun playing in a warm, welcoming and child friendly environment. Staff are kind and caring, offer a nurturing and inclusive nursery, which in turn helps children to be confident and feel secure. Children enjoy the activities on offer and show a positive attitude to their learning.
Staff are deployed well to meet the needs of the children. They plan and implement a well-sequenced curriculum for the children to support their learning well. This encompasses children's interests and maximises their learning to help them make effective and continuous progress. Staff ensure children have regular opportunities to play inside and outside. For instance, younger children enjoy exploring with paints and older children have fun as they recreate their learning about people that help us as they play road safety games.
Staff support children's early communication skills well. For example, babies enjoy songs sang to them with enthusiasm. Toddlers and pre-school children sit with staff and listen attentively while stories are read to them. Staff support children's understanding of behaviours. They teach children about kindness and how to share and take turns. Staff provide consistent praise to the children, and they act as positive role models.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- embed the newly implemented staff coaching and mentoring arrangements, so that children have access to teaching of the highest quality n review mealtimes to ensure there is a fully consistent approach to promoting children's good health.

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- Can I use my funded hours here? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Is there a place for my child's age? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
