What it is like to attend
All children thrive in this exceptional nursery where staff put children at the heart of everything they do. Staff warmly welcome children and families as they arrive.
They build strong relationships with parents, and work together to provide the best outcomes for children. Children demonstrate a high level of understanding about what emotions mean and what might influence how they are feeling. Staff talk to children about their emotions, and use picture cards for younger children or children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Children say when they feel sad or angry and, with staff encouragement, they think of what will make them feel happy again.
Children demonstrate superb attitudes to learning. Staff create a positive, calm and stimulating learning environment for children. This helps children of all ages to remain focused, engaged and enthused to learn. Staff know each and every child exceptionally well. They listen very carefully to children's ideas and respond enthusiastically. Children beam with excitement as staff help to extend and create their ideas in play. For example, they squeal with joy as staff turn the room into a sensory exploration of the planets, with telescopes, torches and light projectors.

- Is there a place for my child's age? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
