Funded hours
We are approved by the London Borough of Waltham Forest to offer 15 hours of free childcare every week to all children from the age of 3 years until they go to school. Some 3 year old children will be eligible for 30 hours per week if one or both of their parents work. Some children aged 9 months to 2 years are eligible for 15 hours of free childcare per week if their parents meet the eligibility.
Worth knowing. Our term time Preschool at Bramley Close offers up to 30 hours of free childcare sessions over 38 weeks to eligible children. Our Daycare Nurseries at Queens Road, Verulam Avenue and Northcote Road offers the equivalent of up to 30 hours of free childcare to eligible children over 51 weeks per year.

What to ask them

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
