What it is like to attend
Children are happy to attend this friendly and welcoming setting. Staff build trusting bonds with children. This helps them to feel secure, confident and eager to play. For example, when staff encourage babies to play in the water tray, they respond excitedly as they manipulate and explore the water.
Generally, the setting's curriculum supports children's learning and progress well over time. Managers and staff work closely with parents and carers. They gather information about children's interests and routines. This creates a full picture of children's starting points in development. Staff work well in partnership with parents and external agencies. For example, managers forge meaningful links with local schools by inviting them into the setting to spend valuable time with children transitioning to school. This supports children's next steps in education well.
Children follow meaningful routines that promote their good health and hygiene.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- strengthen the delivery of the curriculum for communication and language to provide children with even more effective opportunities to develop their communication and language skills n support staff to give children time to explore their own ideas as they play, and to develop and enhance their creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
