Funded hours
All 3 and 4 year olds become eligible for Free Early Years Education the term after they turn 3 for up to 15 hours a week. Some 2 year old children may also be eligible for funding. We also offer 30 hours free funding for the children who are eligible.
Worth knowing. Three year olds and eligible two year olds are entitled to 15 hours free education. These 15 hours are to be used within the above session times. However additional hours can be purchased if required. Any additional hours, incur a cost. Funded hours can be accessed from 9-3.

What it is like to attend
Staff truly value every child as an individual. They greet children with warm interactions and smiles. This helps children to settle quickly, and they show a real eagerness to greet staff and their friends. Staff transform this community hall every day and work hard to make the environment stimulating to build on children's interests, needs and capabilities.
Staff's support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities
(SEND) is exemplary. All children, including those with SEND, have a wealth of opportunities to help them develop fundamental skills for their next stage in their education. Staff provide children with a language-rich environment. As a result, older children confidently recall experiences they have taken part in. For example, they articulate what they know about the fruits and vegetables they have been growing. Staff provide exciting experiences for children and continually revisit activities to help consolidate children's learning and build on prior experiences.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- enhance staff's teaching during transition times to increase opportunities for children's learning n consider how to further adapt planned activities to encourage the youngest children to become highly engaged in their play and learning.

What to ask them
Some of this is above, from the setting or from parents, and it can go out of date. The rest is in no dataset anywhere. Either way it is worth ten minutes on the phone.
- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Is there a place for my child's age? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
