Funded hours
From April 2024, a term after your child's second birthday, working parents will be entitled to 15 hours of funded childcare per week term time only. Those with children over 3 may be entitled to extend this by a further 15 hours if their parents meet the eligibility conditions. Dependent on which you qualify for this either equates to 570 hours or 1140 hours per year. We only offer the funding st.
Worth knowing. The funding is not in place to cover the cost of specialist teaching, consumables or additional services. We make a charge for those services, each day.

What it is like to attend
Children are happy in this welcoming home-from-home nursery. Staff know the children extremely well. They prioritise building strong relationships with the children and their families. Staff provide a well-organised learning environment, which includes activities that ignite children's interests. Children are immersed in exciting learning. For example, in the forest school they climb into the hammock, remembering to consider where their friends are playing before swinging. This helps them to develop an increased awareness of themselves and others. They learn to use real joinery tools to create Christmas decorations from wood. Children learn to manage their own behaviour, so they can use this equipment safely and with confidence.
Staff working with babies have a very secure understanding of their role as a key person. They successfully nurture secure and loving relationships with each child.
Staff are highly successful in interpreting the wants and needs of babies through their non-verbal forms of communication. Toddlers excitedly work alongside their friends to search for the paper fish hiding under powder paint and show great delight when they find them. This helps to build on their developing relationships with others. Older children show an enjoyment of creative arts and express themselves through their drawing and artwork.

To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
