What it is like to attend
Children are happy at the pre-school. They enjoy exploring their environment and eagerly use the resources that staff have put out for them to engage in purposeful play. For instance, they spend time pushing cars down a ramp. Staff make this activity more exciting by encouraging other children to join in so that they can race their cars together. Staff support them to follow age-appropriate instructions so that children let their cars go at the same time, observing which one is the fastest.
This helps children to develop their concentration skills.
Staff have high expectations for all children to make good progress. They use children's next steps to plan activities that precisely target each child's individual learning goals. For example, they support children to develop their pencil control by encouraging them to use tweezers to pick up pom-poms. This helps children to develop their hand strength to support later writing skills.

To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- consider ways to help children to develop an understanding of how to keep themselves safe when they use online devices n support staff to encourage children to develop healthier eating habits.
