What it is like to attend
Children arrive happy, having formed strong bonds with dedicated and caring staff.
Before children start, staff invest time getting to know them and their families. As a result, children enter the setting ready to engage in their learning. Staff use the story 'The Colour Monster' to help children understand how they are feeling. Staff have high expectations for children's behaviour. There are golden rules in place which are reinforced throughout the day. For example, staff remind children to use their 'walking feet' inside, offering a consistent approach.
Children benefit from a range of trips in the local community. For example, staff take small groups of babies, in pushchairs, to visit some nearby horses. The nursery invites external specialists into the nursery to teach children new skills. For example, children benefit from regular visits from a sports and wellness coach.

To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- ensure strategies to support children's behaviour are consistently implemented n strengthen the settling-in process to ensure these meet the needs of all children.
