Funded hours
From September 2025, the government expanded the Early Years Funding scheme to up to 30 hours per week for all age ranges (9+ months, 2-year-olds and 3-4 year-olds) for eligible ‘Working Families’. For parents and carers not eligible for the ‘Working Family’ entitlement, 15 hours of funding for 2-year-olds receiving support maybe available. All 3-4 year-old’s are eligible for the 15 hours ‘Univers.
Worth knowing. Grove Villa offers spaces on a 50 week of the year basis and all funding is ‘stretched’ across 50 weeks. The 15 and 30 hours early years funding per week is based on term-time only (38 weeks of the year). By stretching the funding we provide the total funding entitlement over 50 weeks of the year.

What to ask them

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
