What it is like to attend
Children form close and loving relationships with staff who meet their needs and carry out care routines consistently and with respect. Babies explore freely in the nurturing playrooms, where staff help them to feel safe and secure. Children of all ages move between the indoor and outdoor play areas, leading their own play and exploration. They build strong peer relationships with other children, showing empathy, patience and kindness to others.
Staff plan and deliver an ambitious and well-sequenced curriculum to support every child's unique learning journey. This includes innovative activities that motivate children to explore and build on their experiences. For example, in the 'Wild
Garden', children enjoy using paint they have made from crushing blackberries and brushes they have made from sticks and leaves. They benefit from a wealth of experiences to learn about their world. Children go for bug hunts and make flower crowns to attract wildlife. They get involved in the local community in which they meet care home residents to learn about one another's lives and join in fundraising events.

To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:

- Can I use my funded hours here? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Is there a place for my child's age? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
