What it is like to attend
Staff implement their curriculum and development aims for the children effectively.
They help children become confident and independent learners, in readiness for their move on to school. Children arrive keen and eager to start their day and explore the activities on offer. They are warmly greeted on arrival by staff who show a genuine interest, and leave their parents with ease. Staff work hard to ensure effective partnerships with parents are established. This means they gain appropriate information about the children and how best to support their learning.
The curriculum is designed around the nursery ethos of developing children's emotional and personal development, so that they have a strong sense of self, and supporting children to become effective communicators. Children's interests are followed to ensure they fully engage in all on offer both indoors and outdoors.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- organise the outdoor environment to ensure maximum space makes access easier for children, particularly when they are leading their own play n ensure adult-led activities for younger children are appropriate and focus on their level of development and understanding.
