What it is like to attend
Staff provide a warm welcome to children and their families. Children arrive at the setting with big smiles, ready to begin learning. Staff have formed warm, nurturing relationships with the children and know them incredibly well. They are attuned to children's individual needs. For example, they recognise when children are feeling sad or tired and offer them a cuddle for reassurance. This supports their emotional well-being. Children show they feel safe and secure. Staff are positive role models.
They offer positive praise to children to recognise their achievements. This immediately boosts children's self-esteem and supports children to develop a positive 'can-do' attitude to learning.
The curriculum for communication and language development is promoted well.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- support staff to effectively plan and organise transitions in daily routines for the younger children, to ensure children remain focused and engaged n consider how large-group times are structured, to ensure they meet the needs of all children.
