What it is like to attend
Leaders construct an ambitious and well-designed curriculum to help children meet their developmental milestones. They ensure children become independent, inquisitive and happy learners. For example, children learn to be 'go-for-it gorillas'.
In general, staff use constructive language and praise to reinforce the positive attitudes children need to learn and develop well. Staff use carefully designed routines and their curriculum knowledge to build upon what children already know and can do, helping them to make progress. For example, all children use the food hall at mealtimes. Children start by learning to self-feed and drink from an open cup. As children develop, they learn to cut their own fruit and pour their own drinks carefully.
Staff build respectful relationships with children. During care routines, staff seek consent from children before changing their nappies. They talk to the children through the process, helping them to understand what will happen next. This supports children to feel safe and build secure bonds with staff. As children make progress, staff encourage children to use the toilet and manage their own hygiene routines. This helps children's readiness for their next stage.

To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- help staff to use consistent approaches to support children's behaviour, helping them to problem-solve and begin to recognise the impact of their actions on others.

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- Can I use my funded hours here? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Is there a place for my child's age? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
