Funded places for eligible two year olds, and funded places for all children from the term after their third birthday until they go to school.
Worth knowing. An hourly charge of 45 pence for Snacks and consumables will apply to any working family funded hours for children aged 9 months plus (10p for snack, 22p for janitorial supplies and 13p other supplies). Please note that this charge is voluntary, but the items are essential and not funded.

What it is like to attend
Children thrive in this nurturing, caring, family-orientated nursery. They form exceptionally close attachments to the particularly kind staff who know them all especially well. Children show how emotionally secure they feel. They confidently approach staff for cuddles when they need extra comfort and know that staff will respond immediately. Staff gently reassure children and allow them ample time to talk about how they feel and re-join activities when they are ready.
Children behave extremely calmly and develop strong friendships with their peers.
They learn from a young age how to share and take turns in their play. Staff role model these behaviours consistently well. They continually treat every child with kindness, respect and courtesy. Every child is clearly valued, welcomed and fully integrated into the 'Jigsaw family'. Children's unique qualities and personalities are actively celebrated and fostered.

What to ask them

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
