What it is like to attend
Staff create a welcoming, family-like environment that supports smooth transitions from home to nursery. They greet families warmly and take time to speak with parents, building strong partnerships. On arrival, children self-register by selecting their photos and putting belongings on their pegs. These consistent routines promote independence and self-confidence. As a result, children feel secure and ready to learn because their emotional well-being is prioritised.
Staff provide interesting activities that build on children's interests and experiences.
For example, they set up an investigation where children enjoy using syringes to mix coloured water and observe the changes. They enjoy predicting what will happen, exploring the results and talking about the colours they create. Staff extend learning by asking thoughtful questions that encourage children to share ideas and make connections with real-world experiences, such as rainbows. This fosters children's natural curiosity while deepening their understanding of the world.

To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
