What it is like to attend
Children arrive and settle quickly at this welcoming nursery. They form friendships with other children and secure bonds develop between children and their key person. Children who have special educational needs and/or disabilities make good progress and receive good support. Strong working relationships with other professionals contribute to children's individual needs being met successfully.
Children gain the skills they need for the next stage in their learning. Staff help prepare them to transition to the next room. For instance, staff encourage children to become confident in pouring their own drinks and drinking from open cups.
When children move between rooms, staff provide a thorough handover to the next key person. This supports children to continue to make good progress when they move on.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- support staff to engage with children fully at mealtimes to maximise children's learning opportunities n strengthen the arrangements for outdoor learning to enable staff to focus on supporting all children's learning more effectively.

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- Can I use my funded hours here? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
