Funded hours
15 and 30 hours funded childcare is available for eligible children the term after turning 9 months old. Some 2-year-olds may be eligible for 15 hours if parents receive certain benefits. All children are entitled to 15 hours from the term after their third birthday.
Worth knowing. Funding is 'stretched' over 51 weeks (instead of 38 term-time weeks), which means the funding provides 11 or 22 hours per week. For children entitled to receive 15 hours funding, this is attendance on two days from 9.30am to 3pm. For children entitled to receive 30 hours funding, this is attendance on three days. Days 1 and 2 are 9am to 4.30pm, and day 3 is 9am to 4pm.

What it is like to attend
Children make exceptional progress in all areas of learning at this nursery. They are supported by dedicated staff who have the highest expectations. Children's behaviour is exemplary. They remain calm and focused throughout the day.
Children demonstrate their confidence and independence in abundance when engaged in learning. Children are highly inquisitive and show extremely positive attitudes to learning. For example, babies test out toy rings and stack them correctly from the largest to the smallest. Toddlers pretend to be builders and find the best way to make a structure. Pre-school children organise a group picnic and ensure that each friend has the same amount of pretend food. All children show high levels of perseverance and beam with pride when praised for their successful efforts.
Children of all ages freely explore the indoor and outdoor stimulating learning environments, which provide them with outstanding experiences. They happily play alone and collaboratively with friends. Children show compassion towards each other and willingness to support their peers. For example, in the garden, they create interesting and imaginative movements to demonstrate various insects'
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- extend ways to help children understand the importance of good oral hygiene routines n improve children's understanding of healthy choices of food and drink and the effect these have on their bodies.

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
