30 hour funding for 9-months to 4 year olds subject to criteria; All 3 to 4 year-olds in England are entitled to 15 hours of free early education or childcare each week for 38 weeks of the year. From September 2025, 30 hours childcare support will be extended to eligible working parents of children from the age of 9 months to 4-year-olds.

What it is like to attend
Children and families are at the heart of this welcoming and nurturing nursery environment. They happily arrive and confidently wave goodbye to their parents.
Kind and attentive staff warmly welcome children. Children form secure emotional attachments with staff and their key persons. This helps children to feel safe and secure, and to settle quickly.
Children have a positive attitude to their learning. The curriculum is well planned and ambitious for all children. Staff use their knowledge of children's progress and what they need to learn next to help to shape the intent of the curriculum. Children have access to a range of tailored activities and experiences, which entice them to explore and acquire new skills. For example, children explore pretend frogspawn and frogs. They listen intently as staff read to them about the life cycle of a tadpole. All children make good progress at this nursery.

To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- strengthen the deployment of staff during outdoor play to provide consistent and purposeful interactions for children n embed arrangements to support parents to help their children's individual learning at home.

What to ask them

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Is there a place for my child's age? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
