What it is like to attend
Staff are good role models. They treat children, parents and each other with the utmost respect. Staff are kind and caring and develop strong bonds with the children. Children enjoy their time at this welcoming nursery, where they feel happy and safe. They are excited when they arrive and greet the staff with big hugs and beaming smiles. Staff encourage children to become independent. Children follow the nursery routines, which includes being responsible for their own belongings. On arrival, children confidently remove their own coats and hang them on their pegs.
Babies learn to feed themselves. Staff place a high priority on toilet training and they support children effectively to develop and manage their personal care needs.
Staff provide children with a stimulating learning environment, indoors and outdoors. Children are engaged for long periods of time.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- enhance the teaching of mathematics to help children to consistently build more on what they already know n build on the support and guidance provided to less-experienced staff and help them to raise their quality of interactions with children during their play.

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
