What it is like to attend
Children thrive in this warm and welcoming environment. They show that they feel safe and secure as they explore a wealth of inspiring activities, which stimulate their interest and curiosity. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are supported extremely well. Staff build close and professional relationships with parents, carers and other agencies. Individualised plans for children with SEND are regularly reviewed and discussed with parents. Leaders and staff have an excellent understanding of children's experiences and backgrounds.
They use additional funding to provide activities to widen children's life experiences. For example, recent funding has been spent on developing sports activities so that children benefit from physical opportunities. Children enjoy the time they spend outdoors. They show good skills in balance and coordination and squeal with excitement as they run, jump and splash in puddles.
Children who speak English as an additional language, make rapid progress from their starting points. Staff gather information from parents about languages spoken at home and use this to provide targeted support for children. For instance, they ensure they role model new vocabulary and encourage interactions with other children. Children are speaking with increasing confidence and early friendships are blossoming.

- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
