15 hours Childcare Support Funding a week from the term after they turn 3 years old; 30 hours Childcare Support Funding a week for working families the term after they turn 9 months to 5 years old; some children can access funding at an earlier age, the term after they turn 2 years old, if certain suitability criteria are met.
Worth knowing. 15hr & 30hr Childcare Support can be claimed flexibly for the following sessions, term time only: Morning Session, Morning & Lunch Session, Full Day Session. All other sessions are payable. Refundable Deposit = £65 (Supported 2yr old Childcare Support claims exempt). Daily Snack* = £0.50 and Daily Extra Curriculum Enrichment* = £1.00 are voluntary charges; if you do not wish pay for these additonal charges you must speak to the setting Manager to organise alternative arrangements.

What it is like to attend
Children enjoy attending this lively pre-school. Staff's commitment to their work and their procedures to understand each child and their experiences play a substantial part in helping children to settle and grow in confidence. Staff have high expectations of what children can do. They are good role models and demonstrate positive attitudes. Children mirror this and confidently play and explore. For example, children playing with water use different containers and compare the volumes. They experiment as they stretch up and spray the water from different heights, noting the patterns it makes as it lands.
Staff have attended further training and now offer children practical and consistent support in managing their behaviour. They talk with children about feelings and help them to understand how their actions affect others. Activities and daily discussions support children well in learning about healthy practices. For example, children playing outside talk with staff about the benefits of being in the fresh air and getting plenty of exercise. Staff supervise children well and ensure that all areas are safe. Their ongoing explanations aid children in building a practical understanding of safety. For instance, when using the woodland area, children know how to carry sticks safely and assess how far they feel safe to climb trees.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- build on the opportunities that challenge children and encourage them to think critically and solve problems as they play n support staff to consistently implement the agreed approaches to promoting children's independence.

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Is there a place for my child's age? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
