What it is like to attend
All children thrive and make good progress in this nurturing and inclusive setting.
Parents share information on arrival that helps staff support children's emotional needs throughout the day. Children are eager to join in with the activities and experiences on offer. They particularly like sensory play opportunities. Children explore a range of textures and materials through imaginative play, recalling the events in the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff. Staff support children as they look at the pictures in the book and join in with familiar phrases. Children listen carefully to others and play cooperatively with the available resources. Staff deploy themselves effectively across the room, which means all children benefit from high levels of interaction. This helps to extend their learning further.
Children benefit from adventurous play in their nearby forest space. They develop their independence as they put on their wet weather gear with appropriate help from staff. Children enjoy the freedom of exploring this ample space as they use natural materials in their play. They paint using mud and sticks, engage in role play and explore running water that trickles down guttering. Children build their strength and stamina as they crawl, climb and balance while exploring this interesting space.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- strengthen the organisation of transition times to ensure that expectations of children are clear, in order for them to engage fully in group activities.

Still missing for Little Seeds Nursery Hurley
- What it costs
- Funded hours
- Youngest age taken
- Meals
- Nappies
- Waiting list
No dataset holds any of this. Two parents telling us the same thing puts it on the page for whoever looks next.
What to ask them
None of this is in any national dataset and this setting has not published it, which is exactly why it is worth asking.
- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- Can I use my funded hours here? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Is there a place for my child's age? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
