Our hourly rate is £6.00 from 4th September 2025, this is only payable for hours not covered by the above funding. This rate applies to both 2 year olds as well as 3-4 year olds.

Funded hours
All three- and four-year-olds are entitled to 15 hours per week of free nursery education for 38 weeks of the year from the term following their third birthday. An additional 15 hours of funding is available to eligible parents. 30 hours of funding is also available to some 2-year-olds who meet the eligibility criteria such as working parents.
Worth knowing. If parents wish their child to attend for additional hours, they will be charged according to the Pre-school rates.

What it is like to attend
Children confidently and excitedly enter the pre-school, leaving parents with ease at the door. Children independently hang up their coats and bags. They find their picture cards and put them next to faces showing different emotions to show how they are feeling. This gives children a sense of belonging. Children look out for their friends and enjoy playing with them. They are kind to each other and share the toys well. Staff have high expectations of children's behaviour and praise children's thoughtfulness to each other. For example, when an older child helps a younger child with the tape dispenser on the construction table, staff talk about the importance of being helpful and respectful.
The effective key-person system enables children to feel safe, secure and to want to explore the well-planned environment. Children are inquisitive and eager to explore activities. They enjoy making their own play dough, commenting on whether they need more water or flour from the dispensers. They knead the dough, strengthening their hands and fingers ready for writing. Staff notice when children who are new to the setting want to join activities but are unsure. They provide sensitive support, enabling children to feel confident to have a go and take part.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- refine the implementation of the curriculum, to focus sharply on children's next steps in learning n extend the partnerships with parents further to help all parents understand how to support their child's individual learning at home.

- Is £6.00 an hour still the rate? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Is there a place for my child's age? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
