Funded hours
Currently from the term after your child turns 9 months, working families are entitled to 15 hours free childcare. From September 2025 this is increasing to 30 hours free childcare. All children will be eligible for the universal offer of 15 hours fee childcare from the term after they turn three. Some families of 2 year olds may be entitled to 15 hours free childcare if they are in receipt of var.
Worth knowing. Funding can be used across all of our opening hours throughout the 38 weeks term time provision. You can also spread any remaining hours and use these on our holiday clubs days.

What it is like to attend
Children are praised, valued, respected and encouraged to be the best that they can be at the pre-school. Leaders ensure that all children receive an outstanding early years experience that is fuelled by exceptionally high-quality teaching. This is delivered through a meticulously well-thought-out curriculum, strengthened by staff's own reflective practice. Staff's high expectations for children's development of their social skills, independence and physical development flow through the children's day. Children readily tackle obstacle courses in the garden, put on their own shoes and coats and chat enthusiastically to their friends and adults as they play.
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive impeccable support. Staff know the children well, and home visits before and during children's time at the pre-school provide staff with an ongoing deep knowledge and understanding of each child. As a result, staff form strong connections with families, and detailed support plans are completed and reviewed in partnership with parents. This means that all children make the best possible progress that they can.
Music plays an important part in children's learning. Children sing nursery rhymes, follow actions and signing and enjoy dancing. Children sing 'I can sing a rainbow'

- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
