We offer ‘free’ childcare places for ages 9 months to 4 years old. For many families this is for either 30 hours per week term time or 20 hours per week all year round.

What it is like to attend
All staff at this nursery are welcoming and caring. They develop close relationships with children and offer them lots of reassurance. This makes children feel happy and safe. Staff work successfully with parents to support children's emotional wellbeing. This benefits children effectively, especially when children are settling in.
Staff teach children to use polite words, such as 'yes', 'please' and 'thank you'. This teaches children good manners. Staff praise and encourage children, which raises their self-esteem and confidence. Children respond positively to this and behave well.
Staff plan a curriculum which supports children's learning well, especially those children who speak English as an additional language. They talk to children and read stories to them throughout the day. This gives children opportunities to develop and extend their vocabulary. Staff ensure that all children have plenty of fresh air and exercise. They support babies who are learning to crawl and walk.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- use observations more effectively to plan and sequence activities that focus on what children need to learn next n support staff to promote children's independence skills to the fullest extent possible.

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
