What it is like to attend
Children demonstrate that they are happy and eager to play in the nurturing and stimulating environment. They have established strong bonds with their key person and separate from their parents with ease. Teaching is good, and leaders are committed to providing high-quality care and education. Staff use both assessment and information provided by parents to plan activities, considering children's interests and what they need to learn next. Babies demonstrate that they feel safe and comfortable in the welcoming environment. Staff are very respectful of children. For example, they explain what is about to happen when changing babies'
nappies and wiping their noses. Babies giggle with delight as their fingers are tickled by staff when helping them to wash their hands.
Children are articulate talkers. They discuss why they have been watering the plants and share their excitement when they find a snail in the garden. Children kindly say, 'We must be careful and look after him.' Children are well behaved.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- improve teaching so that staff are always clear about how to support children's learning in all activities n improve the organisation of group activities so that children's learning is not disrupted.

- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Is there a place for my child's age? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
