Funded hours
15 and 30 funded hours per week, stretched over 51 weeks; entitlement from the term after the child turns 9 months.
Worth knowing. Consumables and Enhanced Provision charges apply when opting in; opting out means parents provide snacks and consumables, some enhanced provision may not be included, and additional hours or ad hoc bookings are not available.
What childcare usually costs in Somerset
This is not this setting's price. It is the median hourly fee across all providers in Somerset from the Department for Education's 2025 provider survey. No national data holds what an individual nursery charges, so ring and ask.

What it is like to attend
Children flourish in a highly stimulating and inspiring environment at this unique nursery. Children are made to feel extremely welcome by staff, who greet them warmly. Staff are attentive and provide high levels of exceptional care, which meets the needs of all children. Children's emotional well-being is supported exceptionally well. They spend time in 'family groups' where staff tailor the environment and their teaching to support children's emerging interests. All children make the best possible progress, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities and two-year-olds in receipt of funding.
Books feature in every room. Staff skilfully teach children to use books as a source of information, for example, children find out about farm vehicles in non-fiction books. Children show sustained levels of interest as they listen to staff reading stories. This supports children's early literacy skills excellently. Young children relish undertaking a 'Gruffalo' hunt and excitedly look for characters from the story that are hidden in the garden. Older children learn letter sounds during 'family group'
time, successfully preparing them for school.

No dataset holds any of this. Two parents telling us the same thing puts it on the page for whoever looks next.
What to ask them
Some of this is above, from the setting or from parents, and it can go out of date. The rest is in no dataset anywhere. Either way it is worth ten minutes on the phone.
- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
