What it is like to attend
This nursery is welcoming and supportive, with a focus on helping children grow in a safe, happy environment. The staff work closely with children, promoting their emotional and physical well-being by making sure they feel secure, cared for and valued. The nursery creates a warm, nurturing atmosphere, where children are encouraged to explore, ask questions and build confidence.
The nursery offers a curriculum that challenges every child to do their best, with extra support for children from disadvantaged backgrounds and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Staff quickly notice when a child needs help and make sure they get the right support. They also work closely with other professionals to ensure all children thrive, ensuring no one is left behind. The nursery is committed to providing equal opportunities for all children, regardless of their background or additional needs.
Staff expect children to be kind, helpful and involved in their learning. They set a positive example and encourage children to share, play together and express themselves. This helps children develop good social skills, emotional resilience and a positive attitude towards learning. Staff also encourage independence, making sure children feel confident to try things on their own.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- support staff to consistently share important information to better meet each child's individual needs n improve how next steps in children's learning are shared with all parents to help them support learning at home.

- What it costs
- Meals
- Nappies
- Waiting list
No dataset holds any of this. Two parents telling us the same thing puts it on the page for whoever looks next.
What to ask them
Some of this is above, from the setting or from parents, and it can go out of date. The rest is in no dataset anywhere. Either way it is worth ten minutes on the phone.
- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
