Funded hours
We receive Nursery Education Funding for eligible 9 month olds and 2-year olds (to start the term after they turn 9 months /the term after their 2 nd birthday) for a maximum of 30 hours per week, (38 weeks per year). All 3 and 4 year olds can access the 15 hours Nursery Education Funding, the term after they turn 3, with no eligibility requirements , working parent eligibility is required for 30 h.
Worth knowing. Please note that any meals taken, or hours booked in addition to your Nursery Education Funding will be privately invoiced as per the nursery price list. Trips or activities will also be charged privately.

What it is like to attend
Children are exposed to a wide range of experiences and activities. They learn about the environment and growing, as they produce their own fruit and vegetables. They learn about how the produce can be used in their own food.
Children develop an understanding of life cycles as they watch tadpoles and cocoons developing. Staff extend children's learning as they refer to books to check the next stage in the life cycle.
Children form close bonds with their caregivers. Staff are extremely nurturing and caring in their interactions. They cuddle younger children close who have just woken from sleep and gently re-engage them into play. They ensure children's individual needs are met, recognising when they need additional reassurance and comfort. Consequently, children feel safe and secure.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- support staff to consistently follow and teach robust hygiene practices at all times, to promote children's good health and their understanding of how to keep healthy n develop children's understanding of safe practices by helping children to be aware of why we do things and giving explanations to help them make sense of our actions.

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
