What it is like to attend
Parents speak very positively about the nursery. From the outset, they find the environment warm and welcoming, with staff across the provision taking time to know their children well. Parents highlight the exceptional support provided by staff, including for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities
(SEND). They report clear progress in their children's development and value the tailored strategies in place. Families describe communication as regular and purposeful. Staff share what groups are learning and set clear targets for each child. Parents feel well supported, particularly when staff identify needs promptly through careful observation and early intervention. They appreciate the guidance given and the practical strategies explained, which they can use at home. This ensures a consistent approach and helps children to make secure progress.
Children benefit from the positive role models that staff provide. Staff hold high expectations for behaviour while adapting approaches carefully to meet the age and stage of each child. They explain rules clearly and give reasons for them, which helps children understand boundaries and recognise how to keep themselves safe. Staff encourage children to work together and show respect for one another.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- provide children with the time they need to consistently process and express their responses to questions across the nursery to extend their communication, language and thinking skills still further.
