What it is like to attend
Children feel safe and secure at nursery. This is because staff are very nurturing towards them. Staff shower children with lots of love and comfort, where required.
They are very responsive to the children. Staff notice and respond immediately to the children when they require changing. They use this as a further bonding opportunity, as they talk to the children using soft tones. Children of all ages join in with well-known rhymes. Babies use their bodies to move to the song, while older children join in with the words and actions. Staff are consistent in how they manage children's behaviour. This helps children to learn what is expected of them.
All children behave extremely well.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- tailor adult-led activities with an aim to fully maximise children's learning n support staff to utilise what they know about the children, to help children maintain high levels of engagement, particularly as they free play.
