What it is like to attend
Managers and staff put children at the centre of everything they do. They have worked hard to embed an ambitious and rich curriculum, which sets clear learning intentions for what they want children to achieve during their time at nursery. This is carefully planned and sequenced to build on what children already know to extend and challenge their learning to the highest level. As a result, all children flourish and make exceptional progress.
Staff support children to be inquisitive, curious and highly motivated learners.
Children show immense curiosity, ask lots of questions and are excited to learn new things. They excitedly explore the activities on offer and use available resources to extend and lead their own learning. Staff show happiness in interacting with the children; there is a lot of laughter in the nursery. For example, younger children splash in delight in the water tray and toddlers cheer in excitement at the announcement they are going to the garden. Children's voices are listened to and respected, and this results in children having a strong sense of self-worth.

What to ask them

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- Can I use my funded hours here? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Is there a place for my child's age? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
