Funded hours
The Nursery is registered to accept the educational entitlement for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. Children are entitled to the educational entitlement the term after their third birthday. At present the maximum entitlement is either 15 or 30 hours per week for 38 weeks per year.
Worth knowing. Additional hours and sundries will incur a charge and parents will be notified in advance each term of fees which are payable. Any additional hours will incur a charge. A Session is a minimum of three hours.

What it is like to attend
Children and their families receive a warm welcome from the caring and friendly staff at this setting. Children show enthusiasm for learning as they choose what they'd like to play with from the wide range of interesting activities staff have carefully planned and prepared. Younger children show their developing physical skills as they use different tools to make their own play dough creations. Older children are encouraged to persevere as they move tyres around the garden and attempt to push them up the small slide. Staff praise children's efforts and achievements. This helps build children's confidence and resilience.
Children behave well. They listen to staff and follow instructions. Children demonstrate they understand the setting's routines and boundaries. For example, they happily help tidy the toys away when they hear the tidy bell. Staff encourage and support children to play cooperatively with their peers. They teach children how to share and take turns. This helps build children's social skills. Children are learning how to make friends with their peers. For instance, children ask others to join their play. They hold hands with each other and say, 'Come on, you can come and play with us.'
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- strengthen staff deployment to ensure staff can fully support the emotional needs of younger children and children who are new to the setting to help these children feel safe and secure n ensure staff's teaching during child-initiated activities is consistently of a high quality to fully extend children's learning.

What to ask them

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Is there a place for my child's age? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
