What it is like to attend
Children form strong friendships and play harmoniously. For instance, children negotiate between themselves who will climb first, demonstrating democracy and appreciation for cooperative play. Staff use simple and effective strategies to help children understand what is expected of them. For instance, a visual timetable helps children to better understand routines. Staff show a yellow and then red card, and children understand this is an indication to tidy up. They all sing together as they organise the space and toys. Children are helpful and behaviour is good.
Children are encouraged to choose where they would like to play. This independence helps children to express themselves and explore their talents through self-chosen play. Children are motivated and eager because learning is fun.
To illustrate, children choose to dress up. They develop their ideas through imaginative play. Staff join in and dress up as wizards. They talk about 'potions'
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- provide staff with frequent feedback on their practice, including areas to develop to help them better understand what they do well and how to improve n extend the rich learning environment available outdoors to include more writing opportunities to fully support those children who prefer to learn outside.

- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.

- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
