What it is like to attend
Staff plan a focused curriculum that reflects children's next steps to help build their confidence and curiosity. They provide an engaging environment with a range of activities and resources that cover all areas of learning effectively. Staff help children understand and express their emotions. For instance, staff encourage the children to work as a team, when assembling the large floor puzzle. Staff make strong use of praise to recognise children's achievements and perseverance.
Children show kindness and share with friends.
Children are excited to come into the setting to interact with peers and staff. Staff are on hand to warmly greet children as they say goodbye to their parents. They engage children in conversations and help them to put their coats and lunch boxes away. Children form very strong bonds with staff. They show that they feel secure and safe and enjoy a reassuring cuddle when needed before continuing with their play.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- review and improve the opportunities for younger children to be as engaged in activities as their older peers n continue to strengthen the experiences children receive to learn about different cultures and communities beyond their own.

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
