What it is like to attend
Children are safe and happy at this nursery. They receive a warm welcome from the professional and friendly staff. Children and babies develop close attachments to their key person and other staff in their rooms. As a result, they feel safe and secure. Staff know the children well and are nurturing and caring to them. Children learn through an effective balance of child-initiated play and adult-led activities.
They show curiosity and use their imagination as they explore the play dough.
Children enthusiastically share what they have made as they roll and squeeze the dough to make their creations.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- support staff to reflect on the organisation of the environment within the baby room to help them implement the curriculum and the intentions for children's learning at the highest level n ensure staff maintain the good implementation of the curriculum throughout the day, especially during mealtimes.

- Is £91.56 a day still the rate? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
