What it is like to attend
Staff create a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued and confident. They encourage children to express their emotions and support them in developing self-awareness. During group discussions, children share their feelings using emotion cards, helping them to recognise and communicate their emotions more effectively. Staff promote physical well-being by incorporating movement breaks and outdoor play, ensuring children stay active and engaged throughout the day.
The setting provides an ambitious and inclusive curriculum that supports all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND)
and those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Staff carefully plan engaging learning experiences that spark curiosity and encourage independence. For example, children take part in hands-on science experiments, storytelling sessions with props and role-play activities that build their language and problem-solving skills. Staff use visual aids and sensory resources to help children with SEND to access learning in a way that meets their individual needs.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
