15 hours funding for eligible non-working families of 2 year olds; 30 hours funding from 9 month for eligible working families; 15 universal hours funding for all 3 & 4 year old children.
Worth knowing. Government funding is offered Term Time only – 38 weeks of the year. The Honey Pots Day Nursery LTD does not offer stretch funding. Meals, snacks, consumables and additional services such as Kimbles and trips are optional, and parents are not required to purchase them to access their funded hours. We ask that parents provide their own consumables such as nappies, wipes, sun cream etc.

What it is like to attend
Staff provide a welcoming and inclusive environment where children's individual needs are recognised and embraced. Attentive staff help children to feel secure and settled as they provide appropriate levels of support. This helps children to enjoy their play and learning experiences and make good progress. Staff work closely as a team to provide a well-balanced and stimulating curriculum that all children, including children with special education needs and/or disabilities (SEND), can access. For example, during weekly music and movement session, staff actively participate and help children to follow and join in the activities. Children listen carefully to instructions. They delight in moving their bodies in time to the rhythm, copying actions and playing instruments. This helps all children to gain the most from the activities.
Staff are positive role models and teach children to respect their environment and one another. They provide clear explanations for children so that they understand why their actions may upset another child. When staff notice children showing an interest in practising their throwing skills when playing outside, they direct them to appropriate resources they can use. Children show their understanding by happily swapping hoops for soft balls or using their hoop for rolling games. This enables all children to play together safely and cooperatively.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- review the organisation of lunchtime, so that older children continue to make positive choices when they have finished eating n support staff in further promoting children's language development during group snack times.

What to ask them

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
