15 hours funding for eligible non-working families of 2 year olds; 30 hours funding from 9 month for eligible working families; 15 universal hours funding for all 3 & 4 year old children.
Worth knowing. Government funding is offered Term Time only – 38 weeks of the year. The Honey Pots Day Nursery LTD does not offer stretch funding. Meals, snacks, consumables and additional services such as Kimbles and trips are optional, and parents are not required to purchase them to access their funded hours. We ask that parents provide their own consumables such as nappies, wipes, sun cream etc.

What it is like to attend
Children receive a warm welcome on arrival at the setting. Staff listen carefully to parents, as they share information about their children's well-being. Children feel happy and safe, and they are delighted to see their friends. They immediately explore the learning environment and get involved in the activities and experiences on offer. Staff have high expectations of all children, and this is reflected in their joyful interactions with them.
Communication and language development are well supported. As a result of this, children develop strong communication skills. Staff role model effective use of language and introduce many new words to children through their play. Children delight in talking about how the play dough feels as it sticks to their fingers.
Children use their prior knowledge of play dough as they ask for some flour. They know this will make the play dough less sticky.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- further develop awareness of children's level of participation in group experiences, in order to meet their individual needs and more acutely support their involvement and emotional well-being.

What to ask them

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Do you have a place for a child of my age now? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
- Can I visit at a busy time? Mid-morning on a weekday tells you far more than an empty room after hours.
