What it is like to attend
Children are happy and secure and enjoy the time they spend at the nursery. They are well behaved and clearly understand what the staff expect from them. Children have good social skills and readily involve adults and other children in their play.
Children are considerate of their friends and learn to express how they feel. For example, during group activities staff use stories about emotions to encourage children to share their feelings. They take turns to tell each other how they feel today and discuss how they can make their friends happy, giving hugs to those who are feeling sad. This helps the children to manage their feelings confidently.
Babies explore a variety of different sensory materials. They are happy and content, and enjoy building their confidence to walk and pull themselves up.
What Ofsted told them to improve
To further improve the quality of the early years provision, the provider should:
- develop the quality of teaching to help strengthen the focus on what individual children need to learn n monitor the effectiveness of staff's professional development to raise the quality of practice to a high level.

- What does it cost, all in? What is on top: meals, nappies, late pick-up, and what happens if you are late.
- How do you apply my funded hours? Whether they stretch them over the year, and the minimum days you have to book.
- Is there a place for my child's age? Baby rooms fill first and waiting lists are common.
- Who would my child's key person be? And how long have the staff been there. No dataset holds this and it matters more than anything above.
